Senior Operations Executive – KSA

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Shipment Coordination:

Coordinate and manage the end-to-end shipment process, ensuring timely and accurate movement of goods.
Liaise with carriers, shipping lines, and other logistics partners to secure transportation services.
Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and provide timely updates to clients.

2. Documentation:

Prepare and manage all required shipping and customs documentation.
Ensure compliance with local and international regulations for import and export.

3. Customs Compliance:

Stay updated on customs regulations and ensure proper documentation for customs clearance.
Coordinate with customs brokers to facilitate the smooth clearance of shipments.

4. Client Communication:

Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing updates on shipment status and addressing any queries or concerns.
Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to meet client expectations.

5. Vendor Management:

Manage relationships with transportation providers, customs brokers, and other logistics partners.
Negotiate and secure competitive rates for freight services.

7. Problem Resolution:

Proactively identify and address any issues that may arise during the transportation process.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to find solutions to challenges and ensure customer satisfaction.

8. Performance Analysis:

Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of freight operations.
Implement improvements to optimize processes and reduce costs.

10. Regulatory Compliance:

Stay informed about changes in transportation regulations and industry best practices.
Ensure that all operations comply with relevant laws and regulations.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  2. Min 2 years of proven experience in freight forwarding operations.
  3. In-depth knowledge of international shipping, customs regulations, and trade compliance.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  6. Proficient in using logistics software and Microsoft Office tools.
  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
